Kushagra Bhatia, an engineering student took up the challenge in the relatively unknown city of Rajasthan as his roots were in Haridwar.
Kushagra Bhatia started his journey by taking up a project for Border Security Force (BSF) in Jodhpur with the help of the friend who was his only connection with the city at that point of time and the bond with the city became inseparable.
He started WsCube Tech, a startup, in the year 2010 when the startup ecosystem was virtually non-existent, except in a few major centers of the country. The company worked in the field of web and app development, digital marketing and other solutions for the Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs).
Then it went on to branch into altogether different segments of training. The organization which now is one of the biggest brands for training and development in the country started with the vision to fill the skills gap between the traditional college teaching and requirements of the IT industry. Bhatia, himself an engineer in Computer Science from Bansal College of Engineering, Bhopal, started to work on his own project going against the family tradition of taking up a job after completion of his undergrad program.
Being a student with the entrepreneurial mindset, he understood that the students in engineering colleges, though get the rigorous training according to the curriculum but lack in the skills which are required by the job market. During those years, he went for his further studies and pursued an M.Tech. from Jodhpur National University.
This proved to be an added edge for him as he understood the integrities of the industry better.To hire skilled manpower for his company, he trained young aspirants at no cost and then onboarded them. This is when the idea of a training institute seeked his mind.
This small idea grew by leaps and bounds as the quality speaks volumes for itself and this small venture grew day in and out as they were teaching the latest technologies which helped the students get better placements in other organizations as well.
This institute, till date, has trained almost 1.5 lakh students which has helped them to get better placements. The training center now is managed by Kushagra’s wife Dr. Purneshwari Varshney, who herself is passionate about latest technologies and upskilling the youth for the IT industry. Recently, the second branch has started in the capital city of Jaipur.
WsCube Tech now handles training in a variety of areas like Digital Marketing, Web Development, App Development, Cyber Security, Programming Languages, Data Science and other latest technologies. The services offered by the organization for its clients include 360-degree Digital Marketing Solutions, Website Development, Android and iOS App, and also Software Development.
Kushagra, a first generation entrepreneur, is extremely passionate about technology and computers around which his life revolves and the world is built. Since his college days, he had an inclination to do something on his own and understood that his engineering studies just gave him technical understanding, but to be successful in business he needed marketing and management skills as well. He started approaching small businesses to do web development for them and make them realise the opportunity of online business expansion. This also helped in grasping the market needs, along with increasing business volume.
Equipped with the technical knowledge and appetite to excel in business, he, after moving to Jodhpur, started taking on his own projects and training students for his requirements. This opened the way for him to set up the training segment of WsCube Tech inspired by the model of big tech companies. This allowed them to have skilled manpower which helped in two ways, one was getting the skilled manpower for their own requirements and second by becoming a training center for students who were looking for other opportunities after completion of their engineering. This created a milestone in the industry.
Now, stepping out to tread another breakthrough, he launched the YouTube channel of WsCube Tech in the year 2020, for which the trial was done in 2016. But the major benefit was derived when classroom learning took a back seat due to Covid. This channel set another landmark with 2 million subscribers due its handheld tutorials on technology. It is a one-stop platform for clear, concise, crispy and verified technical tutorials related to programming, web/app development, cyber security, latest technologies and much more. The channel now has subscribers from all over the world and helps them learn new technologies.
Kushagra dedicates his enterprising nature and success to his parents, both his father Sh. B N Bhatia and mother Smt. Karuna Bhatia, despite initial reluctance to agree with his decision of not taking up the job, supported to every possible extent, this made him what he is today. Throughout the journey, his sisters Mrs Shefali, Dr. Shalu, and Dr. Neha also played a significant role. In leisure, Kushagra loves spending time with his lovely daughters Pihika and Prashi, and wife Purneshwari.
Kushagra now is a relaxed yet dynamic individual who never misses an opportunity that comes his way with the farsighted approach and ability to envision the market needs. (Impact Feature)
