Udaipur. The play ‘Kamayani’, based on the classic epic of litterateur by Jaishankar Prasad, was staged at Shilpgram’s Darpan Auditorium Udaipur.
Staged under the monthly theater evening ‘Rangshala’ organized by West Zone Cultural Center, Udaipur, the play of Mayur Natya Sanstha, Jodhpur left an impression of effective acting under the directio of Dr. SP Ranga. The epic has been converted into drama by Ramesh Bohra.

Kamayani is the ultimate litrery work of Jaishankar Prasad and presents the face of humanity on psychological and spiritual background.
This play is the story of Manu, the originator of the present Manvantar, in which the disappointed, fearful and sad Vasudha broadcasts the message of world harmony while tying the hope of peace and happiness.

Cultural Center Director Kiran Soni Gupta said that Dr. Ranga has composed the play in prose and verse style in 90 minutes, keeping the basic element of this epic intact, in which the inclusion of different juices is visible.
Significantly, the team of twelve artists rehearsed the play online for six months during the lock down period.

Ayodhya Prasad Gaur (Manu) and Dr. Neetu Parihar (Shraddha) in the main role of the drama were successful in creating a different impact with their expressions and dialogue delivery. Other characters like Dr. Pooja Rajpurohit (Lajja), Dr. Kajal Verma (Ida), Mohit Parihar (Kumar Bada) and Aaradhya Parihar (Kumar Chhota) have done justice to their roles. (Impact Feature By AP Gaur)
